PARAPLUIE INC. is a public relations and marketing firm which specializes in entertainment, lifestyle, beauty, special events and charity functions. Founded by Michele Elyzabeth, a veteran publicist who began her career in Los Angeles at Rogers & Cowan in the 1970’s, Parapluie Inc. has led PR campaigns for brands such as Von Dutch, Christian Audigier’s Ed Hardy, Hale Bob and events supporting BABC (British American Business Council), Larry King Cardiac Foundation, Starlight Foundation, Adopt-A-Minefield, etc.

Today, Parapluie Inc. focuses on brand and image consulting management.


Michele ElyzabethMICHELE ELYZABETH, CEO & Founder

Michele Elyzabeth arrived in Los Angeles, California in February 1971 after accepting a job offer from Ike and Tina Turner in Paris to join their organization as a publicist.

Born and educated in Versailles, France, she started her career in Paris as a journalist for the renowned Magazines Salut Les Copains and Mademoiselle Age Tendre. Writing beauty and social columns by day, and doing interviews with R&B and Rock ‘n’ Roll acts by night, she covered everything from fashion, beauty and openings of night clubs, to movies plays and concerts.

Michele met the innovative Christian Dior makeup artist, Serge Lutens, which started her lifetime love affair with the cosmetics industry.  She eventually came to LA, where she worked for Rogers & Cowan PR, training directly under Warren Cowan, who taught her the business of PR/ Marketing and Communication.  Among her clients: Redken Laboratories, Bio Jouvance,  Jet Slim Clinic Inc., Linterman’s salons, Cinema Secrets, Dr. Lazarof, launching Georgette Klinger, the 1st high-end spa on Rodeo Dr., as well as introducing the very 1st tanning booth to consumers.  Her passion for beauty drove her to open, Michele Elyzabeth’s Salon Prive, treating hair, skin and importing Caviar products.

In 1978, she started her first agency: Michele Elyzabeth Enterprises. In 1979, she met Lonnie Simmons who offered her the opportunity to take over the creation and development of the image for his label Total Experience and his artist’s, The Gap Band and Yarbrough & Peoples.

This resulted in a major success for her newly formed business. In 1984, while doing PR for the funk band Lakeside, Elyzabeth started developing various businesses with former lead singer for the band, Otis Stokes.

In 1999, she formed Parapluie Inc., her present company, which branched into various business ventures. In 2006, she realized her long time dream by bringing Comtesse Michele Elyzabeth Champagne to life.

In 2010, Michele founded the entertainment/lifestyle digital publication LATF The Magazine, which now operates as the daily news site, www.LATFusa.com (LA TV FILM).

In 2015, Michele founded the annual Hollywood Beauty Awards, which honors the architects of beauty: makeup artists, hairstylists, stylists, photographers and more. In 2018, Michele founded the Daytime Beauty Awards, which honors science behind beauty, health and wellness.
